About SSTA:

The purpose of the Arizona based non-profit SSTA is to improve safety awareness and performance on construction job-sites. SSTA is made up of manufacturing companies, general and specialized contractors, building trades/crafts organizations, educational entities, municipalities and others with a keen interest in safety. Working together, they establish, maintain and provide standardized safety training and record keeping that is crucial to businesses that must keep safety at the forefront.

Contractors that perform work on SSTA Member sites in Arizona require the SSTA card for contractor’s workers.  Member’s sites include Central Arizona Project, Phoenix AZ; Intel, Chandler, AZ; Medtronic Tempe AZ; Microchip, Tempe, AZ; On Semiconductor, Phoenix, AZ, and TRW Vehicle Safety Systems, Queen Creek,

SSTA Goals

The Alliance's goal is to assist in providing a trained contractor work force for companies and ensuring that safety training meets the OSHA Construction Safety (OSHA 29CFR1926) standards and the OSHA General Industry (OSHA 29CFR1910) standards.
