This course is part
of the OSHA Outreach Training and attendees who complete the course will
receive a 10 Hour OSHA Construction, US Department of Labor card at the
end of the course. The course reviews the hazards associated in
construction through a review of OSHA regulations and focuses on the
prevention of injuries associated with the hazards.
Although you may have to take this class, I do want it to be of value
for you and your safety on the job.
The course is
conducted using digitally projected PowerPoint presentations, DVDs,
hands on equipment demonstrations, and classroom discussions.
You may need to take
the 10 Hour OSHA Construction course to meet a requirement from the
Veterans Administration hospital (the VA), a General Contractor, or an
Owner. You may be taking it to get a better insurance rate. Whatever
your reason for taking the 10 Hour course, I would like to present it in
an interesting, fun, and educational way.
Ken is a California
native that has worked with and taught the Title 8 Regulations and
Safety Orders for years. Ken has taught this course numerous times,
and is also an instructor for the OSHA Training Institute in San Diego.
Ken can tailor the class to meet your employees’ needs. For instance,
you may want to spend more time on excavations, fall protection or
scaffolding.
Ken Mushet will
conduct the two day, 10 Hour OSHA Construction training, at your
facility. The cost is $2,900 for up to 20 attendees, and
$95 for each additional attendee. (Includes course materials and U.S.
Department of Labor, 10 Hour OSHA Construction wallet cards.)
Spanish safety
training is available.
If you just have one
person to sign up, a more cost effective option could be to go to my
homepage and sign up for the on-line construction course.
The course is 10
Hours of classroom time and can start at 6:30 a.m. The course will last
longer than 10 hours because lunch and break time are not included.
Although many workers dread the thought of sitting through this long
class, and would rather have a cavity filled, it will not be miserable
as they envisioned. There are many attendees that actually had fun and
enjoyed it. There are many great safety topics and new material which
makes the class interesting.
There are no
additional fees for course materials or the 10 Hour OSHA Construction
Cards. Wallet cards can be provided the same day as the training, but
they will not be issued until the company check payment is received.
