At your location,
Federal Agency Collateral Duty, 30 Hour Training
Course Description:
This course
introduces federal agency collateral duty safety and health personnel to
the OSHA Act, Executive Order 12196, 29 CFR 1910, and CFR 1960. Attendees
will be able to recognize basic safety and health hazards in your own
workplace and effectively assist your agency safety and health offices in
their inspection and abatement efforts. The course will also include a
practice inspection of the facility to provide hands-on experience.
Course Overview:
This course provides guidance to ensure
compliance with Federal Regulations. OSHA can and does inspect Federal
Agencies on a regular and routine basis. While OSHA cannot levy fines and
penalties against these agencies, the hidden costs of lost productivity,
workers compensation expense and legal liabilities for Federal Managers
make accident reduction a prime concern.
While OSHA rules and regulations are explained
in this course, the emphasis is on accident prevention using established
guidelines. The risk management approaches presented can be used to
evaluate federal facilities and safeguard workers.
Steps to comply with
OSHA’s 29CFR1960
regulation for Federal Supervisors and Safety Committees is
outlined in an easy to use format. Topics are outlined that ensure
compliance with Federal rules in a “how to” manner. The course presents a
no-nonsense approach to OSHA compliance.

read the regulations, and penalties.
